Our Mission:
"To know and love Jesus and help others do the same."
The mission of the Church of the Nazarene is to make Christlike disciples in the nations.
...As a global community of faith, we are commissioned to take the Good News of life in Jesus Christ to people everywhere and to spread the message of scriptural holiness (Christlike living) across the lands.
We strive to express the compassion of Jesus Christ to all persons along with our personal commitment to Christlike living. While the primary motive of the church is to glorify God, we also are called to actively participate in His mission—reconciling the world to himself.

A Brief History:
Sandersville First Church of the Nazarene was founded following a tent revival between the Twin Cities of Sandersville and Tennille in 1950. Three recent graduates of Trevecca Nazarene College, Bobby Kea, Verlie Campbell and J. Emory Lindsey pooled their resources to purchase a tent for revival meetings. The meetings started way back when and have never stopped. Lindsey would go on to pastor the church through moves from a tent to a former machine shop to the current location at the intersection of S. Harris Street (Ga. Hwy. 15) and Riddleville Road (Ga. Hwy. 242) until his retirement in 1997. Today we continue to minister to the community by providing places for fellowship, discipleship, and worship at the church campus and throughout Washington County.
